Exclusive Museum showcases produced by Hahn
Showcases for museum or exhibition design projects that require increased attention to detail or special requirements for the conservation of exhibits. They are exclusive display cases produced in Germany by one of the most renowned companies in this field (Glasbau Hahn), with over 100 years of experience in the production of museum display systems. Hahn products can be found in over 300 museums around the world, especially where the implementation requirements have exceeded the knowledge and production capabilities of other manufacturers.
These display cases are made to order following extensive discussions with the client, in which all the details of implementation, design, safety, conservation, climatic factors... are established. The products are not in stock, the entire range is adapted to the requirements and are produced to order.
Conservation means slowing down the destructive process on the exhibits to a minimum.
In general, there are four agents that require control: Physical agents, chemical agents, biological agents and human errors. Hahn display cases offer a controlled micro-climate with air quality suitable for each exhibit including humidity, temperature, chemical and biological factors. Organic exhibits need pest control systems and that is why our display cases can be equipped with bacterial and viral destruction systems. Human error often occurs in the handling of objects, which is why we have created safety systems and detailed handling procedures.
Aspects that make these display cases more special and why they are recommended for special projects:
1. They can be made in any size and shape desired by the client, being completely configurable and adaptable to the project.
2. They can be equipped with smart humidity control systems (which dehumidify but also humidify the display case) thus maintaining a constant.
3. Equipment with cooling/ventilation systems for constant microclimatic temperature control.
4. Special injection/absorption systems with various substances such as Nitrogen for the preservation of organic exhibits (animals, mummies, other organic remains...). Bacterial and viral destruction for organic exhibits is vital for long-term preservation.
5. Opening and access systems for special exhibits, including remote-controlled hydraulic openings that facilitate and ensure increased security during transport and handling.
6. Professional lighting systems for exhibits.
7. Advanced protection systems for exhibited objects
8. Durable materials and unique design
9. Consulting for the implementation of the project involving recommendations for design, conservation and protection solutions
10. Wide range of museum exhibition showcases including free-standing showcases, display tables, built-in wall showcases, suspended showcases, built-in floor showcases, outdoor showcases, painting protection...
